Two heads are better than one.

Tennis Tip: Want to hit crisp, controlled forehand volleys? Here's a simple, effective reminder: Keep your racquet head close to your own head during your preparation. This isn't about literally touching your head, but rather cultivating a compact, high ready hitting position.

Master your serve with the "Ball toss sweet spot"

Tennis Tip: The serve is arguably the most crucial shot in tennis. A consistent and well-placed ball toss is the foundation of a powerful and accurate serve. Practice tossing the ball to the same "sweet spot" every time – slightly in front of you and to your hitting side. This allows your body to rotate fully and transfer maximum power into the ball. Use a cone or a small target on the ground to mark your ideal toss landing spot.

Improve your footwork with the "Split step shuffle"

Tennis Tip: Great footwork is the key to getting to every ball. Incorporate the "Split Step Shuffle" into your game. As your opponent makes contact with the ball, perform a small hop or "split step" to land lightly on the balls of your feet, ready to explode in any direction. Then, use small, quick shuffles to adjust your position, rather than large, slow steps. This keeps you balanced and prepared for the next shot.

Elevate your backhand with the "Non-dominant hand guide"

Tennis Tip: For a powerful and consistent two-handed backhand, your non-dominant hand (the one higher on the grip) is your secret weapon! Think of it as guiding the racket and generating much of the power. Focus on a strong unit turn with both hands, and feel your non-dominant hand driving through the ball. For a one-handed backhand, use your non-dominant arm to help with balance and pointing to where you want the ball to go, preparing your dominant arm for the swing.
